There are lots and lots of spa food ideas out there. One thing to keep in mind when planning your spa party is the age of your group. I have found that most tweens are not into trying anything too gourmet.

A knew that she wanted to make infused water. So we searched and searched. We read several recipes. We finally decided on a Citrus Infused Water. We also purchased Simply Lemonade – Raspberry Lemonade for those not into trying infused water.

Citrus Infused Water

1/2 Cucumber, peeled and sliced
1 Lemon
1 Lime
1 Orange

Fill pitcher 1/2 way with filtered water. Slice lemon, lime and orange. Put all slices (lemon, lime, orange and cucumber) into water. Fill pitcher with more filtered water, if necessary. Refrigerate water for 2-3 hours before serving.

Note: This makes a very citrusy water. If you prefer a more mild taste, use 1/2 of each fruit.

Then, we looked for a fruit dip. Fresh fruit is always a hit and who doesn’t like fruit dip? I found this recipe on All Recipes. It was simple and yummy.

Fruit Dip

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (7 ounce) jar marshmallow creme

Using an electric mixer, blend cream cheese and marshmallow creme until mixed thoroughly.

Modification – We used strawberry cream cheese and it turned out awesome!

What’s a spa party without cucumber sandwiches? Again, super easy, but it looks so fancy.

Cucumber Sandwiches

1 Cucumber, peeled and sliced
Spreadable Cream Cheese
Whole Grain Bread (we used a whole grain white)

Spread cream cheese on two slices of bread. Place cucumber slices on one slice of bread (about 4 slices). Place the other bread, cream cheese side down on top of the cucumber. Using a sharp knife, slice off the crust and then cut the sandwich into 4 pieces. Repeat for how many sandwiches you like.

You’ve gotta have something for the birthday girl, if your spa party is also a birthday party. We decided on cupcakes. If you’re thinking that you’ve seen this photo before, you’d be right. These cupcakes are delicious! I must warn you that the cake (although yummy) was a little heavier and drier than expected. Just don’t want you to be surprised. 😉

Starbucks (copycat) Vanilla Bean Cupcakes

This was a Pinterest find. Head on over to Chef Mommy’s blog to get the recipe. The only modification we made was adding a little gel food coloring to get the icing the color we wanted.

Late at night, when the girls were craving more food. We made popcorn for movie time and even later we made pizza rolls (not from scratch).

Hope you enjoy the recipes!  They really are great for any time.
