After my daughter and I hosted our first pillowcase sewing event for ConKerr Cancer, my hubby told one of his coworkers. She was instantly inspired to host an event of her own right at the middle school!
We packed up our machines (yep, I said machines – I just got one of my own!) and headed on down there. “A” and I were able to make a few pillowcases, share our machines and help other young sewers learn to sew. It was a wonderful and fun event and it was so great to see so many young people eager and excited to help out a great cause.
The last I heard, there were 120 pillowcases made that afternoon! Yay!
That is awesome! Amazing what one person can inspire : ) Keep at it!
Fabulous! You and A inspire me, my friend! And, congrats on the machine!
Very Nice! 🙂
Btw, I awarded you with the Versatile Blogger Award. It is a fun little award passed around within the blogging community. Here is the shortlink: http://wp.me/p15O7Y-8x. I hope you enjoy and I look forward to reading more of your posts in the days to come. : )
Just Ramblin’
Wow! Thank you! I’m so honored! The family is all hanging in there today. 4 of 5 of us are sick with some sinus bug and feel horrible. 🙁 So, good news on a bad day yay!
