Well being creative wasn’t really an option for me this week – it was a requirement.  It seems that our peak outdoors “autumn” was last week.  The winds have been crazy and we’ve had rain.  I’ve also been home with a runny-nosed baby and sick daughter.

I did try to make some new baby food.  I can’t take the credit for the recipe though.  I found it by searching and hopping around on blogs.  I found it on …in sock monkey slippers – it’s a great blog with tons of recipes.  I made Crock-pot Butternut Squash Applesauce and it made my house smell like autumn!!  Apples, butternut squash, cinnamon, nutmeg – Yum!! It’s not just for babies either!  Baby E loved it and I froze a lot for later (2 ice cube trays).  My 11 year old daughter loved it too.  Head on over to the link above to check out photos of each step and the final result.  Here’s a couple of my photos of everything in the crock-pot ready to go.

My next shot, I’ll admit, was taken with my point-and-shoot camera.  Mums always make me think of autumn and when I saw these, I snapped away.

And here’s another point-and-shoot photo just for fun.  These jack-o-lanterns were at the entrance of a Halloween Party we went to over the weekend.  Aren’t they great?  Makes me wish I had brought the “good” camera.

Hope you all had a great week out there capturing Autumn!  Head on over to I Should Be Folding Laundry to check out more Autumn photos!

PhotobucketSee you all next week for more captures!
