Where did all the chipmunks and squirrels go?  One morning this week there were at least 3 squirrels running around my backyard and up on my deck (right next to our sliding glass door).  When the squirrels would go running up the trees, the chipmunks would come out.  I grabbed my camera only to find that my battery was dead.  Ugh!

Maybe they are on to me?  I’ve looked for the last 3 days at their normal frolicking time.  Oh well, another time maybe.

With the squirrels and chipmunks gone and no outside adventures in the plans (our asthma coughs are still recovering from last week’s illness), that left my sweet kitty, Snickers.  It felt like cheating.  She’s always so posed.  I quickly realized though that it wasn’t going to be as easy as I thought.  There’s always toys and kid stuff about, the lighting isn’t so great indoors, and I hate using the flash – it just makes her look unnatural and her eyes glow.

Just look at that fluffy leg! So, zooming in on kitty leg and foot isn’t like cat porn, right?

Most of the time, I share photos as I take them – right out of the camera with no adjustments.  This time, I did adjust the levels a little bit and the last photo was cropped to eliminate some toys – one still left.

Don’t forget to head over to I Should Be Folding Laundry to check out some more great animal photos.  Maybe next time you can join in?
