A really loved the sewing classes she took this summer. Remember when I mentioned that middle schools around here eliminated sewing classes? Now she is planning several projects! There’s trick-or-treat bags and even some gifts! Anyway, here’s a peak at the items A made in her classes.
Pillow Case – Kids Sewing 101
Drawstring Backpack – Kids Sewing 102
Rag Bag Tote/Purse – Kids Quilting 101

I’m so happy that she learned these valuable skills. The rag bag tote was her favorite project. She’s been taking it with her everywhere.
Out of the generosity of our instructor, A and I were able to take our last classes together. Yeah, I took advantage of the 1/2 off classes sale and took Quilting 101 and Quilting 102. I’ve always wanted to learn how to quilt. I had so much fun! It was like learning magic – chain sewing! So cool! Anyway, I was the only student in the Quilting 102 class and when the instructor found out that A had her Part 2 of the Rag Bag class the next day she suggested that we do it together. The instructor was great at multitasking and we even finished on time!
Here’s a look at the blocks I made in my classes:

I plan on turning these blocks into quilts for snuggling in while watching TV. I’ll keep you posted on my progress and post photos when they’re done.
